Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using Sift, an AI-assisted news comparison app.

Effective date: June 16, 2026

By accessing or using Sift, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About Sift

Sift is an AI-assisted news comparison app. It groups related coverage from different publishers and may show story summaries, claims, timelines, framing differences, source links, and other context to help users compare how news events are covered.

Sift is not a newsroom, publisher, legal advisor, financial advisor, medical advisor, or government source. Sift is an informational tool. You should read original publisher articles and primary sources when accuracy matters.

2. AI-Assisted Content

Sift uses automated systems and AI models to analyze publicly available news coverage and related signals. AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, mistranslated, or missing important context.

Sift may show extracted claims or source-supported statements. This does not mean Sift has independently verified those claims as true. Labels such as source support, disagreement, or attribution describe how coverage appears across sources; they are not final determinations of truth.

You are responsible for evaluating the information you read. Do not rely on Sift as your only source for important decisions.

3. Publisher Content and Third-Party Sources

Sift may display publisher names, article titles, links, images, excerpts, summaries, metadata, and AI-assisted analysis based on publicly available coverage. Original articles remain the property and responsibility of their respective publishers or rights holders.

Sift does not republish full publisher articles as its own content. Article content may be temporarily processed and stored to generate analysis, then deleted according to Sift’s retention policy. Sift may retain derived story data such as summaries, claims, timelines, source references, links, and metadata.

Third-party websites, publishers, and services are not controlled by Sift. Their content, availability, accuracy, policies, and practices are their own responsibility.

4. Your Account

Some Sift features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and not to use another person’s account without permission.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the in-app deletion flow or the data deletion page linked in the app. Some limited information may be retained where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate operational purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sift to:

  • break the law or violate the rights of others;
  • harass, threaten, defame, impersonate, or abuse any person or organization;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or attack Sift or its systems;
  • attempt to bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or account restrictions;
  • submit false reports, spam, malicious content, or harmful technical material;
  • use Sift outputs in a misleading way that falsely suggests Sift, a publisher, or a third party endorsed a claim.

6. Corrections, Reports, and Takedown Requests

Sift may contain mistakes. If you believe content in Sift is inaccurate, misleading, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise problematic, contact us so we can review it.

For support, corrections, content concerns, or takedown requests, contact happy.dev.sol@gmail.com.

Please include the story or article link, a description of the issue, and any supporting information. Sift may remove, correct, update, or decline to change content at its discretion.

7. Privacy

Your use of Sift is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can request deletion. Please review the Privacy Policy linked in the app and store listing.

8. Changes to Sift

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of Sift at any time. We may also change how stories are grouped, analyzed, ranked, translated, displayed, or retained.

9. Disclaimers

Sift is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that Sift will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your particular purpose.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, neutrality, legality, or availability of third-party publisher content or AI-assisted analysis.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sift and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use Sift.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Sift if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Sift or others, or used the app in a harmful, unlawful, or abusive way.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, store listing, or other reasonable means. Continued use of Sift after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
